This product is perfect for meals for one or two people. I can brown meat and/or vegetables in the pan and then transfer it to the oven for roasting and deliver it to the table with a serving spoon. My only problem to date has been warming the pan, (receiving a telephone call that lasted over a half hour) and the pan and lid burned. The interior of the pan looks all right; however, it now tends to stick; and the interior of the lid is a copper color, Does anyone know how to clean the lid and make the pan stick proof again. Other than my absentmindedness, this has been the perfect pan for my household.

As long as you are preparing a meal for yourself rather than for a family, Caphalon's Nonstick 10-inch Everyday Pan is just the one you want to fry a small piece of meat or fish and a serving or two of veggies. Just a tablespoon of olive oil on medium heat is sufficient to saute the vegetables and later cook a serving of meat or fish. Another feature of this pan is how easily it cleans after it cools. Amazon sells it for a very reasonable $39.99. I really love this frying pan.I use it more than any other.

This is a great pan to use either on the stove top or in the oven. It fits nicely in the oven because there isn't a long handle (just two small handles on either side) like on some other brands of high end cookware. It washes up nicely, but keep in mind that this piece is not dishwasher safe (per the manufacturer). I have made chili, stew, and sauces in my pan, as well as scrambled eggs for a large group and browned different types of meat. I find I am using this far more than I thought I would.

It's on the heavy side for me, I'm a small person. But, it cooks evenly, and is big enough to cook soupy items in my kitchen. Handle can get slightly heated closer to the pan, but I've never needed to use a potholder so far. Same goes for the lid, and it's not glass so I'm not worried about breaking it. I had a pot with a glass lid and I couldn't see in anyway, since all you see is steam and condensation.

As always, I wish it was slightly more affordable, but it's still a good buy and it's very useful.

I've owned a lot of pans over my lifetime, but nothing comes close to this! If only I had started out with Caphalon, I wouldn't have wasted my money on all those other pans! Honestly, don't let the fact that it's not non-stick scare you; it cleans up easily and is a dream. I'm actually back to buy my 2nd piece of Calphalon; the price here at Amazon is fantastic! Buy it, you won't regret it.

Very good material. Nothing negative can be said about this. Its a little heavy but I suppose that comes with the territory. Very easy to clean and wash up. Have had it for about a couple of years now and works perfectly well. Good stuff indeed.

Have used this pan for a couple of months now, and I am very pleased with it. Cooks very evenly and resists every effort I've made to accidently burn things. I followed directions and allow pan to preheat before adding ingredients. Clean-up is a breeze. Though the pan can be scoured, I've had no need to do that. A nylon scrubby pad is all it takes for tough jobs, and keeps it looking brand new.

I am a single guy and I have used this for the last 5 years in my "kitchen": cook everything in it since it fits my portion sizes...from eggs and sausage in the AM, to fish and veggies for my dinner. Absolutely amazing - the non-stick has not eroded at all, and the poor thing has gone through some serious abuse.

I cook on high heat a lot, and it does a much better handling that than my Cuisinart non-sticks. The price, the quality, the durability of the non-stick: you can't beat this!

This Splendiferous Pan has served me for over a year now. I purchased three pans for personal use in my home gourmet kitchen. I then purchased another 5 pans as gifts and one as a reserve to replace a pan that may fail. These pans make a great gift for a new bride who will practice making great omelets, or for the seasoned home cook to prepare sauteed dishes for 2 to 4 people. This is a multi-purpose pan. I did attempt to prepare dessert crepes( a Julia Child recipe) and discovered this pan is best for omeletes and other products, not crepes. Because of its weight and quality I have given this product 5 stars. If I had to classify it as a crepe pan, I'd have to give it 3 or 2 stars, simply because of the inability of this pan to keep the crepe from sticking to its surface. I have rated this pan with 5 stars because of its diversity. I do care for the pan by placing a cardboard separator between each pan. I also rotate the pans so that each lasts longer than those who have rated their pan with a less than satisfactory rating. I believe rotating the use of this pan extends the use, as well as the pans' life, for the frugal home gourmet chef.

I needed a pan primarily for making eggs. This had such great reviews, so I got it. Oh man, is it ever amazing. I've had non-stick pans before, but this one is legitimately non-stick. I drop an egg in there. When it's done, it slides right out of the pan, leaving no trace behind. The pan is so clean, you might not realize it's been used. Fantastic.

Like other nonstick cookware buyers, my memories of bad nonstick cookware made me weary of buying more nonstick - as everything sticks! I threw out calphalon one, emeril, all clad (really dinged my wallet) - you name it! But to my surprise and DELIGHT, this little griddle/crepe pan works terrific! Food sears, cooks, and releases with no effort. Good weight in your hand. It is a bit on the small side, so if you want to make an omelette for 4 or more people, this would not be for you - unless you wanted to make additional omelettes in a row. The sides are a bit low (approx 1") so no high concentrations of sauces is recommended or you'll have splashes to clean up. Clean up is a breeze with soap and hot water. Amazon packaged it securely so no scratches or dings to the nonstick coating. You won't regret buying it.

This is the perfect size pan for gravy and sauces. The non-stick coating is excellent. The handle stays cool while cooking. The price can't be beat. I highly recommend having a couple of these on-hand so you can save your 2 or 3 quart sauce pans for when you really need the size.

I love this little sauce pan. I use for so many things..soup, sauce, boiling a few eggs, etc. Cleaning is pretty easy, you do have to "detail" clean around the handle sometimes, but I gave it 5 stars because the rest of the pan cleans so easily. Very sturdy, great quality. This sauce pan is my first piece Calphalon, I'm hooked, will buy more from Amazon.

First off, I own 10 pieces of the hard anodized cookware and am wondering why would you (A Kitchen & Housewares enthusiast from Medford) want your set to not match? The anodized lid also enables you to put your cookware in the oven if you so desire, and it astheticaly looks correct. Now with that out of the way. I am a professional cook, and love the way these cook, evenly with less heat than if using some no name brand of cookware that can not evenly disperse the heat or hold the heat. I can deglaze, something you can not do with the non stick products, I can use metal utensils, I am not implying that you should cut your food in the pan by any means just that a metal spoon will not harm the surface (this is not the case with the non stick products, you will be eating a plastic type material with your food if you use metal in the these pots and pans over time and ruin them) and the clean up is a snap for the anodized products! the only downside I have found is that some of the hard anodized products have been re-called due to insufficient baking on of the anodized material causing "spotting" of the anodization (however this problem has been solved and if you find that you are having this problem take it back or send it back for a free replacement. A side note is that Bed Bath and Beyond will replace them without a receipt if they carry that product) with this being the only downfall I would have to say this is a top of the line product for advanced cooks as well as the newbie interested in producing quality food. Enjoy!

I own 17 pieces of this cookware. I started with a small 8 piece starter set and have purchased open stock pieces one-by-one since. It is easy cleaning, heats evenly, and looks great. I thought about going to an all stainless with copper core set, but one of my friends who is a chef advised against it unless I want to spend all of my time polishing my cookware. I think this is the best cookware on the market for the money.

This 10" nonstick "EVERYDAY" pan has truly become just that for me.

I live alone, so many of my meals are of a smaller amount (when I'm not cooking for the kids and grand kids). Whether for breakfast eggs or quantites of stir fry meals it acts as a fry pan as well as a small wok.

I am very pleased with this item and have had no flaking on the surface after four years of service. True, the handles get hot from the gas jet. That's why we use fire and not ice to prepare meals. But with a hot pot holder I can tip the pan and scrape out the contents into a bowl or onto a plate. With two pot holders I can give a quick shake and slip three eggs over the edge and onto a plate. Perfect for a single guy who enjoys a good meal.

I purchased this for a gift but own it myself too and it is my very favorite skillet. It is perfect for dinner for two and I use it in the oven as much as I use it on the stovetop. Put your meat and seasonings in the skillet, slice up some potatoes and add your favorite veggies and pop it in the oven at 350 for an hour and you have dinner. Cleaning is a breeze being non stick. I give it a 5 star rating. LOVE IT!!!

I have this pan and have been giving it as a wedding gift for about 10 years. It is the most useful pan in my cupboard - perfect for a 2 person family. I fix vegetables, stir fry, German pancakes, anything I can think of in it. I'm glad I can still get it at Amazon - Macy's no longer carries it except in a set of several Calphalon pans.
