"Tremendous value" 2010-06-04

These pans have been a joy to use since I bought them. They heat evenly, clean easily inside and out and have marvelously comfortable handles. At first I was worried that the rougher textured teflon wouldn't be slick enough to cook eggs effectively but I haven't had any trouble at all and in practice it seems just as slick as smoother finishes and is perfect for omelets, crepes, frittata and just about everything else I've thrown at it. Superb value for money.
"Great product!" 2010-05-21

This is the second time in a few years that I have purchased these products. They are the workhorses of my kitchen, used nearly everyday. They do a fine job and hold up pretty well. Alas, all Teflon is not forever and the smaller of the two fry pans no longer works so well (my husband managed to give it a couple of deep scratches, too). There is just no better deal out there, so I, quite happily, bought another set.

Some reviewers had complained that the pans came scratched. My pans were packaged in a cardboard separator that kept them from touching so Calphalon seems to have solved that problem. I find the pans to be very sturdy not light at all and not overly heavy like some pans today. They are not sticking and I am frying eggs in them. Of course they are new. My last pans were Wolfgang Puck and I consider these better quality or at least equal to those. They are not quite as nice as my daughter in laws All Clad, but then they did not cost $100 each either. All in all I am pleased with the price and quality and I shopped around a lot before my purchase.
"Great pan - poorly designed cut out in handle" 2010-05-04
By toh246 (Central PA)
I finally had to replace my old Calphalon, and so far, this pan affords no complaints except for the cut out in the handle for hanging. We have a ceiling pot rack in our kitchen, and this pan is a real pain to remove from the hanger. They cut the hole at an awkward angle, which forces you to lift the pan a full 90 degrees to get it off of the hook. Our rack hangs from the ceiling, out of the way of anyone banging their heads, so unless you are seven feet tall, you really have to stretch to get this off. My hooks are also "floating" which allows me to move them around, and they often come right off with the pan. It seems as if this "angular" cut out was meant to look edgy and trendy, but it's a major design flaw. You have to wonder if anyone at Calphalon bothered to actually hang this pot up, when they designed that stupid hole.
"great pans" 2010-05-03

We bought the pans because my husband has become an omelet maniac. Our pans were too high on the sides for him to turn the omelet. We actually bought the set, as it was almost as cheap as buying only the large pan by itself. He really likes how heavy the pans are and the non stick coating. The only drawback is the inside bolts, as things stick to them a bit. Otherwise, great pans and great deal for both.
