"Nice saucepan but not US made" 2010-02-12
By Jay Pako (Portland, OR USA)
I purchased a Calphalon Unison Slide saucepan elsewhere that I love and use every day for oatmeal, rice, etc. When I saw this saucepan online and the great Amazon sale price, I ordered it right away. I was very pleased with the pan when it arrived until I turned it over and discovered that, unlike my beloved pot, it was made in China not the US. So, with regret, I returned it. I was able to find a similar pan elsewhere for $99.00, made in Wisconsin.

 "Not "non-stick"" 2009-12-06
By F. Motta (Seattle, WA)
I was looking for a stainless steel covered saucepan with a non-stick cooking surface and this one caught my eye after a lot of shopping. When it arrived, I was highly disappointed that nowhere on the packaging did I see references to a non-stick cooking surface although the title of the product on Amazon is described as "Hamilton Beach Nonstick Contempo Saucepans". The quality of this product appears decent and it would be unfair to rate it on just the bad description on this site, so on that basis I gave it a 3; but I'm still returning it as it doesn't fit my needs. Another reviewer apparently had the same experience.

"Beware: "Stainless Steel" color is NOT non-stick!" 2009-12-02
By S. Pearson (Berkeley, CA)
Beware that the "Stainless Steel" color listed for the 2-qt. Hamilton Beach saucepan is NOT non-stick. It is not actually a "color;" it is a different material from the "Black" color (which is truly nonstick). I had to return the former and order the latter. Have the black one in hand now: it is pretty nice, medium-light weight, has nice steel grooved bottom to even heat conduction (haven't tested this property yet). My qualm is that the handle is rather too long: not necessary to have that looped part at the end, and it takes up extra cupboard space. Also, the lid fits poorly -- not a tight fit. But passable for ~$20.

 "Very good " 2005-11-15
By Hank To (San Jose, CA. USA)
I bought this sauce pan last week. The quality is very good. The handle design is quite comfortable. I tested the even heat distribution by broiling the water and watched the water bubbles forming at the bottom of the pan. I found no hot spot. It responded to the change in the heat setting is average. It's kind of heavier than All-Clad LTD for the same size of pan. I'm not sure about how long it will last under the normal daily usage yet. For the initial impression, this Calphalon One Non-stick cookware can stand up to the more expensive cookware such as All-Clad - LTD, Stainless steel, MC2. Look for the bargain. It's worth the cost.

 "Works great for us" 2009-12-30
By Mr. Gside (UT, USA)
I bought this pot over 4 years ago here on Amazon and it has been a wonderful part of our kitchen artillery. I was really surprised to see the reviews of really poor quality. I wonder if they've changed to cheaper materials? My wife and I use it almost every day and although it's not as shiny as it was when it was new(on the inside)food still doesn't stick or burn like it would with a cheap pot. I love the clear lid because you can see how the food is doing. We use it for just about everything. We liked it so much that I purchased the same pot, but smaller sizes. Those also still look and perform wonderfully.

Who knows how many more years it will last us, but we have no need to replace it.

"Do Not Order From This Company" 2009-12-29
By G. Hinson (Vass, NC)
I ordered this pot for a Christmas present. The company sent me a totally different pot. I had great difficulty getting anyone to answer the phone but when I finally did get someone they promised to over-night ship the correct pot so it would arrive two days before Christmas. The pot never arrived. I am now in the process of filling a claim.

 "6 qt stock pot" 2009-11-02
By Joanne Krebs (McMinnville, Or)
I love this pot. It is just the right size for my husband and myself. I use it for everything. I love being able to see things cooking.

"We have the saute pan" 2008-09-16
By T. Shafer (Florida)
We had purchased the 18" Saute Pan from this series earlier in the year for another Cuisinart pan. We love it. The care of this series is wonderful, I have not been able to get anything that will stick to the surface, no matter how long I forget that something is on the stove. The heat distribution is terrific as well, even if the pan is half off the burner. I am assuming we will enjoy this pan as much.

"Value at a great price." 2008-06-19
By Karen M. Holmes (Pollock, Idaho)
Bought this product for a wedding gift for my granddaughter. Wanted her to start out with the best in cookware. Cuisinart brand name is quality product. Know she will have years of cooking enjoyment with this piece.

Thank you for all of your good quality products. I can always trust that I will get the best pieces for the best prices. Thank you, Karen Holmes.

 "terrible lid design" 2009-12-08
By M. Cameron (Rye, NY USA)
The trouble with this pot is that food eventually works its way between the glass lid and the lid's metal rim. Because of the lid's design, there's no way to remove this food, so it sits there, no doubt forming an excellent growth medium for bacteria. I ended up throwing the pot and lid out.

 "Perfect compliment" 2008-05-30
By Michele D. Brielmaier (Mankato MN)
A perfect compliment to the set I have and perfect for small cooking needs.
