If you need a new pot or skillet, this is it. It's shape let's you use it both ways. It's a wonderful pan.

Yesterday, I received my Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Chef's Pan from Amazon and was initially pleased with its appearance and design. That was short-lived, however. I placed the cover on the pan. After removing the cover, I noticed two areas near the pan's rim in which the nonstick finish had evidently chipped off. I checked and didn't feel any rough spot inside the rim of the cover which was sufficiently sharp to cause this. As another poster mentioned, the outside rim of the pan is fairly sharp but the nonstick finish flaked off on the inside of the pan's rim.
Until now, I'd never had nonstick finish flake off a piece of cookware within minutes of being removed from its shipping box. I just returned this pan to Amazon for a replacement (which will take several weeks to arrive). I hope I just got a lemon and there's not a real problem with Cuisinart's nonstick finish on these pans.

Well I can hardly gush over a piece of cookware can I? It is however made very well. I use it with an insert to steam veggies. The glass lid fits quite snug and allows me to see 'what's cookin'. The price I paid make it qu8irw sweet.

I use this pan on almost a daily basis, and am well pleased with my purchase. I purchased this pan due to it's versatility. The shape is perfect for wet cooking, or as a small saute pan. Due to the increased surface area, it reduces much faster than a saucepan. The non-stick finish seems to be durable so far, and I have had no problems with scorching. As noted by others, this is a lightweight pan, but heat distribution seems good. If you are looking for thick heavy aluminum, buy Calphalon or All-Clad. Overall I would say this is a good buy for the budget conscious shopper. I like this pan well enough that I have also purchased the 4 quart version.

The pan looked great but was full of gauges that exposed the shiny metal underneath.
I shipped it back today and I'm waiting on my refund.
