I purchased this because it is just the right size (3 qt) for my cooking. It is aluminum, but it has a lined, black interior. While not heavy, it is sturdy. The lid has a small hole for an air vent. It is a little pricey, but I like it a lot and it is perfectly sized for us. I purchased two and so far so good.
